IKORODU DIVISON PEACE INITIATIVE BURSARY AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR INDIGENE AND NON INDIGENE. Requirements and Instruction for Applicants Please read this information carefully before proceeding to fill the form 1.  Applicant must be a full-time student in any of the public tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. 2.  Must be from 200 Level (2nd year) and above with a verifiable CGPA 3.  Must provide proof of Indigeneship (Letter of identification from a recognized Oba and Local Government/LCDA). Residents he/she must submit Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card as proof. 4.  Must attach the copy of his/her Academic profile duly signed by the University Registrar or the HOD of his/her Department. 5. Applicants cannot apply for scholarship and bursary at the same time. Both attract separate applications. It is another June 15. That was the day darkness fell on the entire Lagos East Senatorial District and the entire Lagos State when we learnt about the painful departure of our esteemed leader and  Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic, Late Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo (Lagos East) on June 15, 2020. The Chairman, Senate committee on Industries, and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA on Friday supported business start-ups with grant during the graduating ceremony and Demo Day of Business 101 for Creatives and Artisans (Cohort 001) participants of the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL). Out of 47 individuals that enrolled for the training, forty-one (41) budding and aspiring entrepreneurs successfully completed the 3-months intensive business training handled by the technical partner of SAIL, the Co-creation Hub (Cc-Hub). Over 4,000 young men and women applied for the 5 pilot SAIL programmes across 16 Local Governments/Local Council Development Areas in the Lagos East Senatorial District, while 150 were shortlisted for the entire maiden cohort. 47 individuals were admitted into Business 101 for Creatives and Artisans class. For seventeen (17) consecutive months, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru has been extending COVID-19 relief financial assistance to over 2500 vulnerable people in the Lagos East Senatorial District. On Wednesday, 1 June, 2022, beneficiaries of the Senator Tokunbo Abiru COVID-19 Relief Support Scheme received direct credits in their respective bank accounts. These beneficiaries were nominated by 98 ward chairmen, Party chairmen, Community Development Committees (CDCs), Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC)leaders, Royal fathers, League of Imams, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and notable leaders in the 16 LGs/LCDAs of the Lagos East Senatorial district.
