IDYI, Lagos Ministry of Agriculture Empowers Ikorodu Division Youths

Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative (IDYI) through the office of the Acting Commissioner for Agric Lagos State, Ms Abisola Olusanya has empowered 12 youths on Coconut bread business across Ikorodu division.


The empowerment which is aimed at ensuring every youth in Ikorodu division is self dependent is expected to improve the well-being of the beneficiaries. 



In a similar vein, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative through the ministry also empowered 5 youths with 250 crates of eggs (50 crates per youth) across the Ikorodu Division on egg business. This is in accordance with the mission for Ikorodu Division Youths.



In a statement personally signed by the Executive Director, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu expressed his utmost satisfaction towards the empowerment. He also used the opportunity to rain accolades on the Acting Commissioner for Agriculture for her kind gesture and determination towards improving the well-being of the Youths in Ikorodu. Emphasising that the act of the Honourable Acting Commissioner is a major sign of her good heart and a worthy Ikorodu Ambassador.


He further admonish the beneficiaries of the program to ensure that they make better use of this rare opportunity in order to make their own impact on their immediate community while also ensuring that their livelihoods become bouyant through the business.

Igbega Ikorodu's Samson Bisiriyu Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Convener of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ultimate University of Science and Technology, Republic of Benin. Comrade Samson Bisiriyu who is also a former aspirant of Ikorodu consistuency 1 at the Lagos State State House of Assembly in the last 2023 general elections was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration during the Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University in the Republic of Benin. Dr. Samson Bisiriyu who had been one of the topmost voices clamoring for the development of Ikorodu was awarded the degree in Public Administration for his unrivaled urge for the growth of his community. In a joint congratulatory message by the executive members of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, the organization saluted it's Convener on this current achievement, noting that this didn't come as a surprise because Dr. Samson Bisiriyu is known as someone poised for excellence.
