Tokunbo Abiru Holds Town-Hall Meeting With Lagos East Youths And Students

 

The Tokunbo Abiru Campaign Team (TACT) has taken its campaign to the doorsteps of the Youths in Ikorodu Division. 


The programme which was held on Sunday, 11th October, 2020 at the Aquila Event Centre, opposite Ikorodu General Hospital, Ikorodu had in attendance several Youth bodies comprising of entrepreneurs and students.


Speaking at the event, a Commissioner at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Hon. Dayo Israel eulogised Ikorodu Division Youths, emphasising that they are the most important instrument in the formation of good governance and a strong channel towards winning the hearts of the people in the entire Lagos East Senatorial District.


He urged dthe APC candidate, Tokunbo Abiru not to joke with the strength of the Youths in Ikorodu and Lagos East at large as they have the capacity to mar or make his Senatorial East ambition.


The SSA on Youth Development to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Comrade Afonja established the need for Ikorodu Division Youths to ensure that they give all they have to support the candidate of the APC in the October 31st Senatorial Bye-Election.


In his address, Tokunbo Abiru promises to fast track economic development across Lagos East Senatorial District. He also reiterate that he will ensure all eligible entrepreneurs under the umbrella of Ikorodu Division Youths have access to interest and collateral free loan if elected.





Also present at the event are; nollywood star sensation who doubles as Tokunbo Abiru campaign ambassador, Mr. Bolanle Ninolowo, the Lagos APC Youth Leader, Mr. Tayo Sanyaolu, Fmr member Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusegun Olulade, Chairman Igbogbo/Baiyeku Lcda,Comrade Olusesan Daini amongst others.

Igbega Ikorodu's Samson Bisiriyu Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Convener of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ultimate University of Science and Technology, Republic of Benin. Comrade Samson Bisiriyu who is also a former aspirant of Ikorodu consistuency 1 at the Lagos State State House of Assembly in the last 2023 general elections was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration during the Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University in the Republic of Benin. Dr. Samson Bisiriyu who had been one of the topmost voices clamoring for the development of Ikorodu was awarded the degree in Public Administration for his unrivaled urge for the growth of his community. In a joint congratulatory message by the executive members of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, the organization saluted it's Convener on this current achievement, noting that this didn't come as a surprise because Dr. Samson Bisiriyu is known as someone poised for excellence.
