IDYI Facilitates Empowerment Tool For Ikorodu Youth

  One of the Ikorodu Division Youth from Rotary vocational centre in Igbogbo, Ikorodu has just been empowered with a tailoring machine from the stable of the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State, Ms. Olusanya. The facilitation which came through the empowerment programme annually organized by Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative (IDYI) is expected to serve as a source of wealth for the beneficiary. The young and committed apprentice, Miss Lilieh Fortress Igelle who is just 16years old got the gift through the recommendation of the management of Rotary Vocational Training Centre, Igbogbo. This development is part of the goals of Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative in ensuring that all Youths in Ikorodu are self-reliant and are distracted from all social vices capable of pushing them into all various forms of crisis within the town.

IDYI CALLS ON IKORODU YOUTHS TO SHUN VIOLENCE AS LAGOS EAST BYE-ELECTION HOLDS TOMORROW

  LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT BYE ELECTION Our dear Ikorodu Division Youth, Just as we head to the senatorial bye-election poll on Saturday 05th, December, 2020, we congratulate you all for successfully narrowing down the election to a strictly Ikorodu affair, impliedly head or tail Ikorodu owns the victory and this is the greatest triumph for us. However, it remains overly sancrosact that we do not consider this a reason to show apathy towards the election,the votes are still neeeded as a further testament to the electoral strength inherent in Ikorodu as a division, on this premise we urge that we troop out enmasse to authenticate our preferred choice in the polls, we should make the strongest statement to the audibility of all that whoever ignores Ikorodu division in the scheme of things is to his or her peril. On a final note, it is never in our interest to embrace violence of any sort before and after the polls, what should come after the much coveted victory for the division sh
