EDUCATION: Our Children Are Being Sidelined, We Need More Public Schools In Ikorodu, Concerned Ikorodu Residents Cries Out


Lamenting on the shortage of public schools in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, concerned residents and indigenous people of the division have cried out to the Lagos State Government to come to the aid of their children. 

They stressed that, the long distances of the location of government schools from places of residence of most children in Ikorodu is alarming.

The concerned residents and indegent people of Ikorodu Division has urged all Federal and State representatives from the division to ensure all mechanisms are put in place urgently to proffer solutions to the need of more public schools in Ikorodu.

The rate of students dropping out of secondary schools is alarming  within Ikorodu Division.

Please can our political office holders and our  philanthropists help us to look into this situations?

The rate of students dropping out of school within Ikorodu Division is alarming and the rate of teens crime is increasing.

Due to shortage of public schools and  the long distance between their homes and the schools, from reliable source.

Many parents can not afford the cost of transportation because of inflation after COVID-19 lockdown and many public schools are far away from many communities.

For example, There is no public secondary school between Parafa to Ikorodu garage, also, from Ijede to Elepe down to Itamaga are sharing just two secondary school while Whole Odogunyan, odonla,odo kekere, itaoluwo, Lasuwon Laspotech has just one secondary school. Same situation across the division.

There is an urgently need of Public School Bus and More Public Schools within Ikorodu Division
