LAHA'23: Samson Bisiriyu Congratulates Gbolahan Ogunleye On Emergence As APC Flagbearer


Prince Samson Bisiriyu, aspirant for Lagos State House of Assembly for the seat of Ikorodu Constituency 1 has congratulated Mr. Gbolahan Ogunleye on his emergence as the APC flag bearer for Ikorodu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections.


Bisiriyu in a statement on Friday in Ikorodu, called for formidable unity among party members so that APC would emerged winner in the contest in 2023.


Gbolahan Ogunleye polled 38 out of 55 votes to defeat other aspirants and emerged as the party’s candidate during the primaries held at Ikorodu West Secretariat.


Samson Bisiriyu commended the party leadership, stakeholders and members for ensuring a peaceful primary election.

He urged all party faithful to support Gbolahan's candidature in the interest of the party and the people of Ikorodu.


"Though we have every reason to fault the process of the election as progressive Youth but since our apex leaders and delegates have spoken. 

"For the progress our party, I have accepted the voice of the party.


"I wish to congratulate the winner of the House of Assembly primary election of our great party, APC, and I join hundreds of party faithful to give glory to God for granting us a peaceful nomination process.


“In every democratic contest there must be a winner, and as far as our House of Assembly primary election is concerned, a winner has emerged.


“I commend our party leadership in Ikorodu local government and those who played part in the processes culminating in the primary election,” he said.


Prince Samson Bisiriyu appreciated his campaign organisation and support groups; the delegates, friends, associates and well-wishers for their examplary leadership and support.


“Even though we lost in terms of numerical votes, we won the hearts of the people.


“I wish to state that my desire to seek ways to address the developmental challenges of our people and ameliorate the sufferings of Ikorodu residents, remain unshaken.


“God is responsible for the affairs of all. He gives power to whom He wants. We submit to His divine will at all times,” Samson said.

Igbega Ikorodu's Samson Bisiriyu Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Convener of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ultimate University of Science and Technology, Republic of Benin. Comrade Samson Bisiriyu who is also a former aspirant of Ikorodu consistuency 1 at the Lagos State State House of Assembly in the last 2023 general elections was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration during the Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University in the Republic of Benin. Dr. Samson Bisiriyu who had been one of the topmost voices clamoring for the development of Ikorodu was awarded the degree in Public Administration for his unrivaled urge for the growth of his community. In a joint congratulatory message by the executive members of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, the organization saluted it's Convener on this current achievement, noting that this didn't come as a surprise because Dr. Samson Bisiriyu is known as someone poised for excellence.
