L.G Accountability: CFPN Sensitizes Market Women

Center for Posterity.ng held an advocacy meeting with the leaders of the men and women in Ikorodu to discuss peoples' participation in government. The meeting which was sponsored by Budgit foundation had in attendance, 35 people; 30 women and 5 men.

Oduloye Funmilayo, Center for posterityng project director told participants to be involved in government, i.e; monitor government projects, participate in elections and hold their leaders accountable at all times.


The market leaders complained about their inability to get the PVC registration done, that they have been going to the INEC office but they were telling them to come back and it is stressful.


They also promised to participate in governance by monitoring the government projects and their yearly budget.


The Iyaloja General of Ikorodu, Alhaja Taofikat Allison requested for the PVC registration to be brought to the market, in order for the exercise to be seamless for market men and women in Ikorodu.
