LAHA Aspirants Storms Ikorodu Market, Woos Voters For All APC Candidates

Aspirants for Lagos State House of Assembly on wednesday stormed the Sabo market in Ikorodu Local Government where they were well received by the market men and women.

The Coordinator of the Directorate, Hon. Adeyinka Odukoya said the idea is to woo more voters into the fold of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwoolu in the February 25th and March 11, 2023 elections.

“We have pledged to entice over 2,000,000 votes for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 election in the Ikorodu local government area of our dear state and Lagos at large and if we really want to execute that project we have to go to the people that matter and we know that markets are places where we can find people from different walks of life irrespective of religion and ethnic background.

"When we take the message to the market, we are speaking with all Nigerians. We have planned to storm all major markets across the state, hence, our visit to Sabo market in Ikorodu today to tell the market men and women about Asiwaju and Sanwo-Olu and they will, in turn, take the message back to their various abodes” Adesinya said.

Hon. Samson Bisiriyu, Coordinator of LAHAA Forum in Ikorodu LGA, said it was strategic to proclaim the ideas of the group about Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the business men and women in Ikorodu, his own local government because the local have the second largest voting population in Lagos after Alimosho LGA. He added that despite losing the party tickets, they were obliged to support all the candidates of the APC at the polls.

“We are behind Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu; everybody that contested in the last primaries whether we got the tickets or not are solidly behind all of our candidates and are campaigning as if they are the ones on the ballot papers and we are holding our bloc for Asiwaju and other APC candidates.

If we are saying we want to touch the grassroots and we didn’t reach the markets it means we are not serious about this election.”

“We are not only talking about our candidates in the market; some people have said they hadn’t seen our souvenirs, you can see that we have been giving them these; we also engage in town hall meetings where artisans and business owners Ikorodu converge to get more information on the reasons our candidates remain the BEST option for Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.

"Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu may not reach out to all the people but when you see us, members of LAHAA, you have seen our leaders and we can take back to them the feedback from our people,” he added.

The rally had in attendance prominent Lagos aspirants which include; the Coordinator of LAHAA for Lagos East,  Hon. Babawale Alogba and a host of others.
