WAEC Embraces CBT For Private Candidates

WAEC is set to conduct examinations for Private Candidates on Computer-Based. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) in a statement on Monday, said the innovation will begin with its 2024 mock SSCE to be held next February. WAEC said the objective tests will be fully computer-based while the essay and test of practical papers will be hybrid. For the examinations, the council said questions will be delivered on screen and candidates will write answers on paper booklets. "In line with global best practices, the Nigeria National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wishes to inform the general public, and all its stakeholders, that it has concluded plans to migrate its WASSCE for Private Candidates Examination Diets from Paper and Pencil Test to Computer Based Examination (CBE),” the statement signed by Moyosola Adesina, the acting head, public affairs unit of WAEC, reads in part. “Furthermore, the examination will be conducted in urban centres/cities and candi

EMPOWERING THE FUTURE: IKORODU DIVISION YOUTH INITIATIVE (IDYI) REACHED OUT TO 1,100 GIRLS IN 6 SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN THE 6 LCDAS IN IKORODU DIVISION IN AN IMPACTFUL SCHOOL TOUR Ikorodu, Lagos State. In a week-long initiative that aimed to inspire, educate, and uplift young minds, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative conducted a transformative school tour across Ikorodu Division from Monday, November 6th, to Friday, November 10th, 2023. The tour, organized in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child 2023, focused on crucial topics including menstrual health, education, and career aspirations. Jubilation As Rep Jimi Benson Facilitates New 13km Road In Ikorodu

It gladdens my heart to inform all the residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, especially those living in the Offin/Oreta area of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), that the Offin/Oreta road has been included in the 2023 supplementary budget of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This means that once the supplementary budget is passed into law and procurement is completed, the 13km road, which is currently in a state of disrepair, will be reconstructed. This will make it easier for people and vehicles to move around in the area. The road is crucial for the economic and socio-economic development of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and other nearby LCDAs in Ikorodu Division. It will not only improve the quality of life for residents but also promote business development in the community.
