IgbegaIkoroduNorth Movement Launches IgbegaEko for Students

The IgbegaEko Project it's mandate to ensure academic excellence across Ikorodu North LCDA visited all Government Senior Secondary Schools in the Ikorodu North local council development area.

The Convener, Dr. Samson Bisiriyu has charged the students(SSS3) on the need to shun all forms of societal ills/distractions in order to ensure they succeed in their academics. 


He said the future of Ikorodu North LCDA, Lagos State and Nigeria as a country at large depends on the level of academic prowess and problem solving skills of today's learners. 

He advised the learners to take responsibility for the good or poor performances of their academic journey in public examinations such as the West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO) examinations.
“Government, on its part, is doing everything possible to provide the enabling environment for you to perform your functions as learners. The government has been magnanimous enough to make your basic education FREE and even gave you the opportunity to write external exams such as WAEC, NECO without paying a dime for it".

As a means to encourage the learners to perform excellently, the movement promised to initiate scholarships and free JAMB forms for learners with best results in the ongoing 2024 WASSCE.

Igbega Ikorodu Movement visited Isiu Senior Grammar School, Odogunyan Senior Grammar School, Ikorodu Senior High School and Maya Senior Secondary School all within the jurisdiction of Ikorodu North LCDA .

Igbega Ikorodu's Samson Bisiriyu Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Convener of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ultimate University of Science and Technology, Republic of Benin. Comrade Samson Bisiriyu who is also a former aspirant of Ikorodu consistuency 1 at the Lagos State State House of Assembly in the last 2023 general elections was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration during the Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University in the Republic of Benin. Dr. Samson Bisiriyu who had been one of the topmost voices clamoring for the development of Ikorodu was awarded the degree in Public Administration for his unrivaled urge for the growth of his community. In a joint congratulatory message by the executive members of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, the organization saluted it's Convener on this current achievement, noting that this didn't come as a surprise because Dr. Samson Bisiriyu is known as someone poised for excellence.
