Igbega Ikorodu North Movement Launches (IGBEGA-ILERA) Free Medical Services To The Agbede Community in Ward E1 Odogunyan





The Igbega Ikorodu Movement in partnership with Igbega Ikorodu North group has commenced free medical outreach for the Agbede Communities in Ward E1 Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
 

Speaking during the flag-off of the exercise at the Agbede Community Town Hall, Ward E1, the Convener, Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Dr Samson Bisiriyu, said the movement provided the technical support, the logistics and finances for the program.He noted that the medical outreach, which is a complement of the Lagos State Government efforts in IleraEko has witnessed a large turnout due to awareness and trust of quality services offered during some the outreach embarked upon by the movement.



In his remark, the Coordinators of the exercise, Dr. Mrs. Anita Nse Oyekoya said that the movement which started the initiative in February, 2024, consisting of youths and young professionals from Ikorodu contributed from their income to offer various services to the people free of charge in order to bring affordable health services to the people at the grassroots.Some beneficiaries of the programme, Mrs Jumoke Oladipupo, Mrs Omolara Onikoyi and Mr. Adekoya Olanipekun Wasiu told our correspondent that they were grateful for the free medical programme and called on individuals, local and state government to emulate the kind gesture.


This is even as one of the medical team member, Miss Azeezat Olayinka appreciated the gesture offered to his people.She, however, appealed for more assistance from other well-meaning Nigerians to facilitate more of this programme as a social responsibility in making health care services available to the people.Other members of the medical team include;Milecent Foundation, Mrs Adenekan Olajumoke Mrs Sakinat Folashade Oyebajo Miss Ejeh Maria Eneh.

The medical services offered at the ongoing outreach include sicknesses free tests for hypertension, Blood Pressure, Sugar by Urinalysis, Glucose by Urinalysis, Height, Weight, Breast Screening, Eye Screening, Malaria as well as free dental and consultation among others.

Igbega Ikorodu's Samson Bisiriyu Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Convener of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ultimate University of Science and Technology, Republic of Benin. Comrade Samson Bisiriyu who is also a former aspirant of Ikorodu consistuency 1 at the Lagos State State House of Assembly in the last 2023 general elections was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration during the Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University in the Republic of Benin. Dr. Samson Bisiriyu who had been one of the topmost voices clamoring for the development of Ikorodu was awarded the degree in Public Administration for his unrivaled urge for the growth of his community. In a joint congratulatory message by the executive members of Igbega Ikorodu Movement, the organization saluted it's Convener on this current achievement, noting that this didn't come as a surprise because Dr. Samson Bisiriyu is known as someone poised for excellence.
