Comrade Samson Bisiriyu Graduates From Politics School As SSPG Holds Maiden Convocation

The School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG) held convocation for its pioneer students, Class of 2021, on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Founded in 2021, the unconventional school is on a mission to transform politics in Africa. “The SPPG is travelling that abandoned road to build a new set of patriots for political leadership,”  the media director of SPPG, Mr Ozioma Ubabukoh stated. GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU MOURNS DEMISE OF EX-LAGOS SSG, ADENIRAN-OGUNSANYA

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passing of former Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya. Adeniran-Ogunsanya, the daughter of prominent Ikorodu born politician and associate of the late Nnamdi Azikiwe, Prince Adeniran Ogunsanya, died after a brief illness on Tuesday at 74. She was the Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG) during the first term in office of former Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) between 2007 and 2011. BREAKING: RRS ARRESTS KUNLE POLY, SEGO

Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS), led by its Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi this evening arrested the two principal suspects in the constant clashes in Idumota and its  environs which has intermittently crippled commercial activities in the area. The arrest was effected today at a meeting where the two NURTW members along with some other stakeholders converged.  The latest clash which occurred last week Thursday reportedly led to the death of a victim while commercial activities were paralyzed in the area for some time until a joint team of police officers were deployed immediately to the area to restore peace. Kunle Poly and Sego are presently being transferred to Zone II, Onikan, Lagos.

Abiodun Alabi Replaces Hakeem Odumosu As The New Lagos State Commissioner of Police

The Inspector-General of Police (I-GP), Alkali Baba, has directed Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi to take over the Police Command in Lagos State from Hakeem Odumosu who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG). The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday. NAN reports that Mr Alabi was, until his redeployment, the commissioner of police, Bauchi State command, and he is expected to resume at the Lagos Command, Ikeja, on Monday. Mr Baba had also directed that Mr Odumosu should resume at the Force Headquarters in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

Lamenting on the shortage of public schools in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, concerned residents and indigenous people of the division have cried out to the Lagos State Government to come to the aid of their children.  They stressed that, the long distances of the location of government schools from places of residence of most children in Ikorodu is alarming.
