LAHA'23: Samson Bisiriyu Congratulates Gbolahan Ogunleye On Emergence As APC Flagbearer

Prince Samson Bisiriyu, aspirant for Lagos State House of Assembly for the seat of Ikorodu Constituency 1 has congratulated Mr. Gbolahan Ogunleye on his emergence as the APC flag bearer for Ikorodu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections. Bisiriyu in a statement on Friday in Ikorodu, called for formidable unity among party members so that APC would emerged winner in the contest in 2023. Gbolahan Ogunleye polled 38 out of 55 votes to defeat other aspirants and emerged as the party’s candidate during the primaries held at Ikorodu West Secretariat. On Monday, 23rd May, 2023, the Youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Local Government had parley with all aspirants for Ikorodu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly under the aegis of the party. Prince Samson Bisiriyu was part of those aspirants who graced the occasion. He honoured the invitation of the APC Youth Leaders in Ikorodu Division led by Comrade Babatunde Oyesanya (T.O.D), which comprises of youth leaders in all the 19 wards of Ikorodu Division. CFPNG Sensitizes The Public On Popular Participation And Accountability

Center for posterity.ng held an advocacy meeting with the people of Ikorodu community, Ikorodu, Lagos state to discuss people's participation in government. The total number of attendees were 35; 28 women and 7 men. It should be noted that the meeting was sponsored by Budgit Foundation. As gender inclusiveness, Anita Nse Joshua, a medical doctor, is the director-general of the Samson Bisiriyu Campaign Organization (SABCO). Samson Bisiriyu, a Lagos House of Assembly aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), formally declared his intention to run for the seat of Ikorodu Constituency 1 at his official declaration after purchasing the party's expression of interest and nomination forms. Born on the 11th, November 1990, Anita Nse Joshua hails from Akwa-Ibom state while Ikorodu remains her place of birth and a place she has lived all her life. She had her Bachelor of Science in Medical Physiotherapy from Middlesex University, London, England. L.G Accountability: CFPN Sensitizes Market Women

Wednesday, 6th of April, 2022. Center for Posterity.ng held an advocacy meeting with the leaders of the men and women in Ikorodu to discuss peoples' participation in government. The meeting which was sponsored by Budgit foundation had in attendance, 35 people;  30 women and 5 men. Oduloye Funmilayo, Center for posterityng project director told participants to be involved in government, i.e; monitor government projects, participate in elections and hold their leaders accountable at all times. The market leaders complained about their inability to get the PVC registration done, that they have been going to the INEC office but they were telling them to come back and it is stressful. They also promised to participate in governance by monitoring the government projects and their yearly budget. The Iyaloja General of Ikorodu, Alhaja Taofikat Allison requested for the PVC registration to be brought to the market, in order for the exercise to be seamless for market men and women in Ikorodu

LAHA 2023: IKORODU CONSTITUENCY 1 YOUTH ASPIRANTS MEETS BEHIND CLOSED DOOR

Three leading youth aspirants for Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 1, namely; Samson Bisiriyu (Igbega Ikorodu), Eniola Adeyemi (Wake-Up) and Bolaji Isikalu (IBO) yesterday held a closed door meeting to discuss areas of possible collaboration and to also ensure a youth emerge as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming primaries of the party.  The trio who are all under age 40 have obtained and submitted their respective expression of interest and nomination forms in readiness for the upcoming primaries slated for May 22, 2022. It should be noted that out of the over 17 aspirants who indicated interest in Ikorodu Constituency 1 about 8 of them already purchased expression of interest and nomination forms as at the time of writing this report.
